김양수사장, 이상일사장과 마음 맞춰 매주 산행을 시작한 것이 언제였드라... 아마 지난 5월이였던 것 같다. 처음 몇차례는 토요산행을 즐겼으나 주말 동산객이 너무 많아 이를 피하고 호젓한 산행을 목젹으로 월요일로 바꾸었다. 그후 특별한 일이 없으면 월요일에 만나 북한산 산행코스 여러곳을 찾아 다니며 은퇴후의 무료함을 달랬다.
나는 개인적으로 금년에 국내산행은 40여회, 해외원정 트레킹은 3회로 총 23일을 나라 밖에 있었다. 오늘은 2008년 마지막 월요산행. 코스는 구기동에서 출발 대남문을 올라 산성을 따라 위문에서 백운대로 올랐다 북한산 탐방안내소로 하산할 계획이였다.
The last Monday hiking of 2008, three of us Alan Kim, Stan Lee and myself gathered as usual for hiking the Bukhansan, our favourite hiking course. I personally hiked mountains over 40 times in domestic and went three times abroad for trekkings mountains such as Himalaya in Nepal, Hakoda in Japan and Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa this year, and hiking has become my pastime as a retirement life.

A truely one thing in good order in Korea is the harmony among the religions. The banner is the symbolic gesture of Buddhist's congratulatory greetings on Christmas. Take a look at the religious war in the Middle East particularly between Jews and Islam for the past centuries. Will we see a reconciliation between the two in the future?
