2009년 10월 미국 자동차 판매실적 보고를 보면 현대자동차 그룹이 작년 10월의 36,303 대보다 47%나 증가한 53,495 대를 판매하여 미국 자동차 업계에서 최고의 판매 증가를 보였다. 다음으로 많은 판매 증가율을 보인 브랜드는 Subaru로 41%.
Toyota는 0%, Honda도 0%로 제자리에, Nissan 만 6% 증가했다. Detroit 3는 Ford 3% 증가, GM 5% 증가, Chrysler는 -30%를 기록했다.
