현재까지 수많은 경쟁차가 있었지만 아무도 도요다의 Prius를 그린카 경쟁에서 이기지를 못했다. 그러나 여기 Ford Fusion hybrid 가 있고, USA Today가 Prius 보다도 극찬을 했다. 아래 리스트는 AutoblogGreen이 열거한 차종들이다. 참고로 여기에 옮겨 놓았다.

일본 Hybrid/EV에 세제 혜택

일본에서는 하이브리드나 전기자동차를 구입할 때 납부하는 세금에 세제 혜택을 준다고 한다. 일반적으로 신차를 구입할 때 취득세를 내는데 이는 차 가격과 중량으로 과표가 정해져 부과되는 세금이다. 현재 고려되고 있는 법안은 hybrid/EV 의 구매자에 대하여 완전 면제하며, 다른 연비가 좋은 (fuel efficient vehicles)에도  일부 면제해 주는 안이라고 한다.  

일본에서는 최근 자동차 판매가 저조하다. 혼다의 인사이트는 이번 주에 판매 개시되었다.
