23일 새벽 창밖을 보니 비가 오고있다. 딱 일년전 남알프스에 갔을 때 이틀 산행동안 비를 쫄딱 맞으며 고생했던 생각이 난다. 7시 조금 지나 인천공항 출발 라운지 C-zone로 가니 벌써 혜초산악회의 전 종선 과장만 나를 기다리고 있다. 사람들이 많을 때 밀리언 마일러가 좋은게 뭔가? 일반 체킨 카운터에는 사람들이 구름같이 긴 줄을 서 기다리지만 나는 바로 체킨 !
It was raining when I woke up early in the morning. It reminded me of the two and a half day trekking in the rain last year on the South Alps of Japan. When I arrived at the Incheon Int'l airport a little late all members already were there. Taking advantage of the million milers' club, however, I could go through immediately without waiting for my turn at the end of the long line of summer vacationers.

날씨 때문에 출발이 지연된다. 예정시각보다 늦은 11시45분에 고마츠공항에 도착. 공항에서 버스를 타고 곧바로 식당행. 부페식 점심을 먹고 무로도 다테야마 공원 입구로 직행한다. 무로도(室堂) 고원으로 버스가 우리를 태우고 산길을 올라가는 동안 산을 덮은 스기나무(衫木) 숲을 보는 경관이 장관이다. 드디어 다테야마 입구에 도착..
Due to whether condition the departure was delayed about an hour and we arrived at the Gomatsu airport, Japan at 11:45 am. From the airport as far as the entrance of the Dateyama nat'l park took us about two hours by bus.

At the entrance of the park all members repack the necessary stuff for two-day trekking to minimize weight and packaging size and leave the remainings on the bus.

라이쵸산장까지 반시간 정도 걸어가 짐을 풀고 방을 배정받았다. 일행은 14 명, 혜초산악회에서 나온 가이드 전종선 과장을 포함하여 15명이다. 라이쵸(雷鳥) 산장은 재작년 북알프스 오쿠호다카다케 트레킹때 산장 가라사와 롯지와는 차원이 다르다. 온돌방에 온천도 있는 럭셔리한 산장. 그래도 5일 1실은 숨막히는 것 같다.
The Raichosho lodge was much nicer than the Garasawa lodge where I stayed in July 2007 when I trekked Okuhodakadake of the North Alps of Japan. You can hardly imagine enjoyig hot spring bath at a high mountain lodge like this.
방 배정 받은대로 체킨을 하고 뜨거운 온천에서 몸을 씻고 저녁식사를 하자 날은 어느새 어두워졌다. 산장이 생각보다 규모가 훨씬 크다. 주말이어서 그런지 일본 등산객들이 많이 와있었다. 대부분 외모로 봐서는 60대 이상인 사람들이 많이 보인다.
As it was weekend there were many Japanese and most of them looked to be well up in years, probably 60s and over. When we finished hot spring bath and super it was already dark out side.
