Hyundai plans Toyota iQ rival

Green Baby라는 코드네임이 붙은 Toyota iQ 와 싸울 경쟁차를 현대차가 개발하고 있다.  Hyundai Europe 내부인사는 좀 고풍스럽고 단순한 기능만을 가진 경차가 될 것이라고 했다. iQ 컨셉은 상당히 말쑥한 인테리어를 가지고 있었다. 하지만 기본 운송에 필요한 공간이 별로 없었다. 엔진이나 트랜스미션등에 대하여는 상세히 얘기된 것은 없지만 4기통의 12밸브에 66hp의 출력을 낼 것이라는 것. 현대는 i10 이 미국시장에는 너무 작다고 말한바 있다. 그렇기 때문에 iQ보다도 작은 Green Baby는 유럽시장을 겨냥한 게 아니겠느냐는 추측을 낳게 하고 있으며 내년에는 시판이 가능할 것이라고도 한다.

Sorry to hear all about this. However, the email is very strange. Because knowing you, you would not react like this in the email.

I  have my following objections:

If I were you I would go to the Korean embassy for help. Each embassy helps their people always, especially when they are stranded. In case you  are not in Kuala Lumpur , you can go to the police station and ask  them to call the Korean embassy. Anyhow you cannot leave the country with out passport so you have to go to the Korean embassy anyway

• Normally you pay the hotel bill only at the end of the stay, when you are checking out. Why you have to pay the bill  when you are not checking out is very strange. Besides  to cut off the internet and telephone while you are still allowed to stay in the room is also strange
• But last not least: why do you send this email to all undisclosed recipients. If I were you I would have sent this email only to my  direct friends in Korea personally. Now you send the email to many people with the risk that they send the money all to you. You pick up the first money, leave the country and still other people are sending the money, but this money will never be picked up

I think that you email address has been broken in or that your computer has been stolen, and that people are using your email address to receive all this money through the Western Union . Maybe they have also your passport to identify

I want you to reply this email first to check what is happening

Edelman Korea old boys

에델만 코리아/일본에서 근무하다 에델만을 떠나 모국인 카나다로 귀국한 Bob Pickard가 모처럼 서울을 방문했다. 저녁식사 같이 하자는 연락을 며칠전에 받았다. 약속 장소인 하야트호텔 파리스 그릴에 맨 먼저 도착하자 정시에 세 사람이 약속이라도 한듯이 함께 뭉쳐서 들어온다.
Bob Pickard who used to live in Korea and also in Japan for years until  last summer came to Seoul on his business trip and invited me and his fellow ex-colleagues Hoh and Tyler for dinner at Paris Grille in Hyatt Hotel. We have kept in touch via facebook and also emailing.

작금 우리나라 현대차 그룹의 노조는 파업을 하겠다고 회사를 위협하고 있다. 자신의 생활터전을 무너뜨리고 있는 이들은 어느 시대에 살고 있는 사람들이며 무슨 생각을 하고 있을까? 이런 사람들은 그들이 근무하고 있는 직장이 망해봐야 알겠지. 이들에게 밀려서는 절대 안된다는 것을 사용자측은 알고 있을까? 성급한, 합의를 위한 합의는 하지 말아야 할 텐데... 정부도 인내를 가지고 법질서를 철저하게 지켜나가야 한다. 과거 좌파 정권과 같은 편견을 가지고 기업을 질타했던 일이 오늘날의 이런 지경으로 만들어진 것임을 알아야 한다. 법질서을 유지시키지 못하는 정부는 없는 게 차라리 낫다.

Electro Cycle

미국 캘리포니아주 벤츄라에 있는 HY Tric Motors 회사는 전기차를 소개했다. 이 회사는 저속 전기차 개발에 치중하는 것 같지만 위사진에 나오는 HY Tric Electro Cycle은 최고속도 125mph에 가격은 $23,999 라고 한다. 다른 상세 스펙은 아직 알려지지 않았다.

HY Tric이 제공한 유일한 상세 2009 AFS Hy Tric Electric XRb-Series에 대한 것일 뿐. 가격은 $9,999, 속도는 시속 60-90까지 가능하고 납산 배터리(여덟 12V/120AH packs) 를 충만하게 충전되었을 때 최고 속도는 시속 60 에서 90마일 까지 가능하다고.. Hy Tric은  series of conversion kits도 $2,500 (48 volt kit) 에서 부터 $5,000 (144 volts)짜리 까지 소비자들의 차에 부착할 수 있는 킷트를 내 놓고 있다.

전기차 Aptera 2e

미국 캘리포니아주에 있는Aptera는 회사의 첫 작품인 전기차 2e 를 소개했다. 이 회사에 따르면 200mpg에 맞먹는  연비 효율를 가지는 것같다고...
Aptera는 앞으로 출퇴근의 혁신적인 변화를 가져올 것이라고 했다. 2인승, 에어로다이나믹 한 우주선 모양의  electric vehicle을 2010년 후반에는 전국에 판매할 수 있기를 희망하고 있다. 캘리포니아에는 2009년 부터 판매를 시작할 것이라고. 이 차는  미국 고속도로안전국(NHTSA) 규정에 따라 모터사이클로 구분되는 삼륜차이다. Aptera는 가속력은 시속 0 에서 60 마일까지 10초 이내, 최고속도는 90mph를 장담하고 있다. 스티커프라이즈 25,000 에서 45,000달러를 바라고 있다는데...

 

Hybrid-electric super car Fisker VS. Tesla

                                           
작년에 Tesla로 부터 고소를 당했던 Fisker가 Tesla hybrid electirc car 의 경쟁 차종인 Karma S hardtop convertible을 디트로이트 모터쇼에 출품하였다. 많은 사람들은 이 회사가 이년을 넘기지 못할 것이라고 생각했지만 이렇게 Karma S를 소개하기 위해 돌아왔다고 기자에게 인터뷰에서 Hendrik Fisker는 말했다. 재정적으로 많이 어려울 거라고 생각했지만 그는 전혀 걱정하지 않았다면서 "Fisker 자동차는 강력하고 훌륭한 사업계획이 있으며, 아주 훌륭한 투자자도 있다."고 말했다. Fisker는 Tesla에서 근무하기 전에 BMW와 Aston Martin에서 디자인한 일이 있다. Tesla와 계약이 완료된 후에 Fisker와 Koehler는 4-도어 세단 hybrid-elctric car Karma를 만들기 위하여 Fisker 자동차를 창설한다고 발표했다.

Tesla는 Fisker가 이미 자기 사업을 의중에 두고 Tesla가 생산할 차 디자인에 최선을 다 하지 않았다고 주장했다. Fisker는 Tesla의 주장에도 불구하고 2009년 4분기에 출시를 위한 작업을 계속 페이스를 유지할 것이라고 지난 4월에 말했었다.
